A Call for Justice Around Police and Government Action During RNC

(Ripple Effect)

…propelling a new wave of progressive action

As the political conventions have passed and the masses of departed from the city of St. Paul, Substance, along with national act State Radio, the National Lawyers Guild, Friends of the RNC 8, and Students for a Democratic Society are banding together to call for justice around the suppression of free political expression that occurred during the RNC, specifically for those called the RNC 8.

On Friday October 3 State Radio, featuring Chad Urmston of Dispatch, is inviting those who were affected by the suppression of free speech and assembly to present their case at Station 4 in St. Paul during the State Radio concert.

The aforementioned organizations will be available for interviews at the show while they provide information to the audience through contact tables and speak from the stage about their experiences during the RNC. This event is Substance’s first action since Ripple Effect, a concept that has gone beyond a single event, to a movement in the name of progressive social and environmental change.
