RIPPLE EFFECT

Ripple Effect hit and made waves in St. Paul, and now it is time to ensure the success on September 2nd carries outward.  Visit this site, or www.livewithsubstance.org to stay up to date on Substance’s work; the movement to take music back to the people and back to its roots in social change is progressing, but all progressives have a long way to go in the pursuit of justice and equality. Look below for some things you can do.
- Help Substance make up the financial cost of the Ripple Effect event.  The three of us took on personal debt to ensure Ripple Effect happened, regardless of a lack of big money support.  As Nolan and I are finishing our undergraduate degrees, Substance is moving forward, but we need your support still to make up the difference.  We are looking to raise $25,000 in the next two months to cover our debt.

- Purchase Ripple Effect merchandise.  We have two varieties of t-shirts, and are printing more as we speak.  We also have tabloid size posters available.  Click here.
- Help spread the message of the Ripple Effect.  Big Media skewed the event, but we know what happened.  See the press release on this site for more info, or contact us for more info or tips (info@livewithsubstance.org, 763-913-2192 [Nolan]).  Making sure people know about how positive the Ripple Effect really was is important for carrying the goals and message forward.
- If you have any pictures or video footage of Ripple Effect, please send us copies.  Email to:  info@livewithsubstance.org.  Mail to:  Substance, care of: Jim Forrey; 1105 26th Ave. SE; Minneapolis, MN  55414.
- We are specifically looking for the footage of the State Capitol staff cutting the power at 6:45.  We know this got videotaped, and this would help our case ahead.
- Also, please send us anything that mentions the event; press, blogs, etc.  See this website for a portion of our press.
- Sign up on our email list to stay up to date on our work.

- College Chapter Program - If you are interested in getting involved in Substance, contact us.  We have an internship program for youth in the Twin Cities, and a College Chapter Program starting for those interested in our work outside of Minnesota.
